"We loved the hotel but it would have been preferable if Expedia had informed us earlier that the hotel was undergoing refurbishment."

"After 2.5 weeks of 2*/3*/4* hotel stays throughout England during a record breaking heatwave this was the ONLY hotel with A/C, a fridge in the room, and less importantly a phone. PLENTY of parking, nice restaurants and VERY helpful staff, and only 15 minutes from Heathrow. Will definitely stay again (especially during a heatwave!!)"

"2 day stay . Very bad smelling room even after 2 days with window open. Its clearly been lived in by a smoker and a sock was still covering the smoke detector. Really uncumfortabke beds and dirty stained sheets and matress. No lamps no cups, spoon or coffee. Even had to tune the telly myself. Very strange types walking around the corridors would not recomend. Staff were nice enough when i spoke to them. Im not the complaining type so just loughed if off as a bad experience never to be repeated....

"Last minute booking the down side shared toilet in the hallway I didn't realise when booking otherwise the stay was a success. Shame about the weather being soooo hot the room did get overheated."

"The staff is wonderful the food and the bar was great. The only problem is the property is old. It is 11 century. It was cold in our room. We had to get an extra heater, but the Inn provided that and there was an issue with the water, we had no hot water one day. But again it’s 11 century Inn, I think it’s great for a night or two, but we stayed four nights, probably won’t do that again only because of the age, TV also was not working properly. We definitely will always go there for food and...

"High-spec fitout rooms are very comfortable. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds. The food and drink were of a high standard, as were the spa and gym facilities. The staff were all welcoming and professional."

"Very clean and comfortable room. We stayed in the double bed and single bunk bed for 1 night. Easy to get to from the airport taking the local bus. From terminal 3 we had to take 2 buses, but if you’re coming from terminal 5 it’s only 1 bus and takes less than 10 mins."

"We stayed in one of the green wing family rooms. Overall the room size was spacious and ample space for two adults with 2 toddlers. But the sofa bed which is meant for two kids, was absolutely shocking, the sofa bed had seen better days, and it dipped and Mattress was thing as paper, not comfortable for anyone to sleep on. These rooms don’t have air con, but the fan they supply to the room of this size is a table top desk can, 15cm in height. Overall on the face it, it was a well maintained...

"From the carpets in the halls to the bathroom shower everything was nasty. There is a point in time that a hotel needs repairs, very convenient location and that was the reason we stayed but not worth it at all."

"If you're under 60 I don't recommend this hotel. I think they need to make it more obvious that its catered to over 60s mainly."

"This is a place for when you want to toyally switch off, relax and gave a great nights sleep. Having no TV on the room, meant we went to bed early, heard no a sound all night and came away fully refreshed after one night. There are a couple of nice pubs and restaurants in walking distance and the Thai Orchid is fab."
