"We arrived at about 730pm and were greeted by a very sweet receptionist. Our room was clean and quiet, with an incredibly comfortable king size bed! As it was summer, we were also provided a portable fan in the room, should it become too warm. We had a great dinner at the Feathers Pub and a swift check out in the morning. Highly recommend staying here!"

I accidentally booked two rooms when we only needed one, and the staff were incredibly kind and happy to cancel one of the bookings and refund the payment, which we really appreciated. "Does what it says on the tin. A no frills property but equally very comfortable, clean and helpful friendly staff. Despite the room being above a pub I was not disturbed by noise as I went to bed each night. Breakfast very good with a good selection."

"This hotel is basically student accommodation, running and shouting down the hall ways around midnight. Eventually moved room after initially being told hotel was full to then be told "my bad" we have another room."

"The staff were wonderful at West Lodge. The beautiful park within which the hotel is situated is gorgeous. The building from the outside looks very grand and is steeped with history. However, the room we had was very dated and in need of a refurbishment. Worn carpets and damaged shower doors but just generally tired. Special praise for Peach and her efforts to keep our room clean. She is also a very lovely lady."

"Unfortunately, the room temperature was hot beyond any reasonable level. Being British and living in an old home here in the UK I understand how hot upper level rooms can get in the extreme heat and was expecting the temperature to be excessive. The actual temperature was beyond extreme and the fan provided did not oscillate and was extremely noisy.
