"First of all, the check in process was very slow, I do under stand it’s the holiday in China, but I moved from another hotel to this one but the first hotel I was at, the check in process were much faster. Then the front desk could found my payment information and kept telling me that I didn’t pay when I was in a hurry to catch a flight 😑. "This is my third time staying at this hotel. Shuguang Hotel is situated next to Xuanwu Lake, offering views of Nanjing's towering skyline through the windows; the night view is quite beautiful. The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a short walk from the subway station and Nanjing Railway Station. Although the architectural style feels a bit dated, the guest rooms are spacious, bright, and comfortable, featuring clean, fresh bedding. Soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a quiet environment, though the sound of street traffic can occasionally be heard in the early morning. The buffet breakfast is delicious, offering a wide variety of dishes with a menu that changes daily. I particularly appreciate the complimentary self-service laundry facilities, which are clean and well-equipped. The lobby reception staff are well-trained, and the housekeeping team is professional and courteous; the breakfast staff and chefs are also enthusiastic, proactive, and friendly."

"It was tricky to find the entrance, as other reviewers have mentioned - for reference it is on Lujiali across from the Suwu office building - but the apartments were conveniently located, clean and very comfortable. The staff were also really lovely. There wasn’t a lot of cutlery but the kitchenette worked fine for basic cooking. I recommend as a food place to stay in central Nanjing. "
