"This was one of the most beautiful and peaceful places we have ever stayed. The lounge was filled with tasty treats and drinks in the afternoons and outside was a beautiful area with a foot bath. The hot springs were wonderful and the kaiseki dinners were amazing. The hotel staff members were very accommodating and gracious when dealing with a mixup about the reservation. "The staff were very friendly and helpful. They did not speak English, but we used Google Translate to communicate. The room was spacious. The bath was very warm, but relaxing. Very traditional Japanese breakfast as well. Overall, great experience."

"The hotel is situated in a beautiful location, surrounded by nature (if you don’t have a car then it takes a couple of hours to see the local sights). The rooms are traditional with great views, and super authentic. The set dinners and breakfasts are the best I’ve had, and were something to look forward to. There is a selection of onsens including the opportunity to hire private ones for those who aren’t confident of sharing more public pools. A highlight of the trip so far"
