"Really relaxed vibe and Jack was a great host. The ‘help yourself’ breakfast was a great idea and the little things like, have a bottle of water out of the fridge, went a long way. Room was clean, light and airy. Had everything you could possibly want eg posh coffee maker etc, bottles of water/fizzy drink. Jack made some lovely recommendations for places to see/eat/visit and we can highly recommend The Plough Inn and Jorvine too! Will return for another visit!"

"First I was sent a text with check in instructions for the wrong room so nearly walked in on another family. Then there was a party in the room directly beside ours that were up until 4am yelling, laughing, banging around etc. both inside and outside the property. There was no staff on site at any point in time to deal with these messes so we had to handle by phone or text."

"I arrived early about 12 noon just to drop off my bag. Lady was cleaning the room said wait 5 minutes finished & let me check-in. I was allowed to store my bag for a few hours after check-out. Hotel is about 25 minutes walk from York Station, a 15 minutes to the centre of town and a 45 minutes walk to York Stadium. Single room ensuite was at the back of the house through the kitchen.
