Great location, only an 8-minute walk from the city centre. We had a great stay here over 2 nights, perfect if you just need a base camp after full days of exploring the city and surrounding area.

This was a great location, and a clean hotel, but basically functional only, for a relatively inexpensive, convenient, and short stay over. It had parking, which cost money, and the spaces were limited, and although the rooms had a TV and free water and coffee, there was little else in the room. No desk, for instance. My room was at the front of the hotel, so if you kept the window open on a warm night, you’d hear traffic all night long on the fairly busy street. Other than location and cost, it’s not a place. I would choose to stay again, other than for its very convenient location, and for a couple of nights. This is a very basic place.

This hotel is super close to the tourist area, an easy safe walk from the best spots. The room was super clean with everything I could need. It was great to have 2 bottles of water and be able to get extra coffee sachets in reception. I was met by a lovely lady who showed me to my room and was very helpful A great little place to stay.

Basic room, a little dated but all we needed was supplied for one night in York at a family wedding We had 4 in a room so space was tight but knew it would be! Not sure we could have done it for a week! So convenient as right In heart of the city

The inn certainly couldn't help the fact that York was experiencing record heat at the time we were staying. Unfortunately, the triple room is on the top floor, with no air conditioning (not usually necessary in the U.K.) and not much ventilation - and we were in it. If we had come in spring, autumn, or winter, the story would probably be different. As it was, it was near impossible to sleep in the heat, with very little relief from it. All that said, the hotel was clean and the staff helpful. Again, at a different time of year, I think it could have been a pleasant stay.

Room was clean. Shower did not work so I did not have shower for two days. Room walls are thin so I could hear noises from other rooms including an alarm waking ne up at 5pm and noisy party goers. Came away with a migraine which has lasted for a week.

Booked an ensuite room but my room didn't have a bathroom and had to use the shared bathrooms. No staff was on site and had to call to check in. Opening the door to the room requires one hand to turn the electronic lock and the other hand to turn the doorknob. This is inconvenient when you're carrying stuff in your hand.

Great location,good price

We booked a standard room with a shared bathroom for a very good price. It was all we needed. Room was freshly decorated, very clean, with tea , coffee biscuits. Bathroom was just for us. Great location.

My two sons and I were looking for a place to sleep only but affordable, clean, close to the attractions in York and we found it here. The room is small but clean and with comfortable beds. It's situated in a nice areas steps to many good places to eat. I'll stay again.

Friday night stay for a festival in town

A really nice City centre guesthouse type hotel for a very reasonable price. The bed was very comfortable, the television was excellent and the staff and owners are lovely
