"Room was clean, no staff, all self service, Kitchen was good. Pay parking was good with the help of owner."

"A lovely inn situated in a peaceful village but very handy for visiting the attractions within York and the North Yorkshire National park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We can recommend the food and drinks on offer in the air conditioned restaurant, both on the evening we stayed and for breakfast the following day. Top marks."

"The location was perfect, staff friendly helpful and kind warning about the football. We were a little worried but was actually ok, only a little noise when England scored which we cant complain at. Loved our stay, cute locatipn and our evening meal was exactly what we needed."

"The guest house was located in a super position, close to the station and city. The walk to the city via the footpath alongside the river was lovely. The hot drinks tray and refrigerator in the room were a useful idea and well used. The bed was comfortable and we got a good nights sleep even though the station was close by. Martyn was great and a good source of information. There were lots of great eating places nearby. We would definitely go back should we visit York again."

"Staff were “above & Beyond”! The bar, rooms and food for was excellent the team really looked after us! The rooms were clean & quirky & really spacious and the bathroom was superb We were blessed with the weather and York & Yorkshire are full of friendly people "
