"Great hotel. Food was excellent and the service was also excellent. Beautiful grounds. Games room could do with more light but overall the hotel was excellent for our stay"

"Lovely hotel spotlessly clean and right next door to train station. Our room was large with plenty of wardrobe space, tea, coffee making facilities . Community areas, bar, restaurant, lounge and reception were excellent. Can't comment on the pool as didnt go to it. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice. Only slight niggles were the pillows, very flat and seemed to have seen better days and also the lack of a mirror with suitable lighting to apply makeup. However would definitely reccomend this hotel, and will be going back but will take a mirror with me."

"My recent day at the Hilton in York York is a beautiful city as I entered the Hilton hotel was told the car park was full and I had to book which I did not know lucky my disabled partner had a disabled badge where we could stay over the road, which wasn’t too bad walked into reception they were very pleasant and polite stayed in my room 241 as I entered, I was pleasantly surprised but a bit of a downside was the room was a little bit dusty like it had not been checked and rushed. I went to the room then immediately went out on the plus side the bed was very comfy a little bit of a negative the bath Matt in the room was disgusting. Black underneath showerhead did not stay up expected a lot more from the Hilton being it was my first stay there. I thought it would be fabulous and I was wow but it was just like any other hotel maybe you need to address this if you read this comment Would I stay there again? Probably yes because it is very close to everything. Would I pay the same price? Probably not"

"We had a junior suite which was large. The room was clean but we noticed the hotel could do with some maintenance /upgrade. Carpet looked a bit old and the shower handles kept sticking. We had to ask for help. Staff are very good and excellent breakfast."

"We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay. The rooms were very clean and well equipped and reception staff were very kind to organise an extra duvet for us for our second night. Breakfast was excellent, the freshly made waffles was a first for us and we definitely ate far too many. Can also recommend the SPARKS food market opposite for a very convenient dinner option."

"We received a warm welcome from staff when we arrived. Our room was clean and spacious with a kettle to make hot drinks, you can also get unlimited coffee, tea, sugar and milk in reception which is useful. There was a large selection to choose from for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was all nice and warm. Parking is free but make sure you enter your car reg on the iPad in reception. This is our second visit to this hotel and we will visit again as it’s in a good location."

"The staff ‘made’ our stay. Everyone was so friendly and took the time to have proper conversations with us. We were very well looked after and we felt that nothing was too much trouble for them. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts and noted that individual variations to the set menu were totally acceptable. We were impressed with the accessibility of the toilets and lift on the ground floor and our accessible room was ideal for our needs."
