"Great place for my quick stop in York. Cozy and clean. Thank you."

"Had a nice stay for our anniversary. Good suggestions for local walks. Wine and food was nice. It was a little disappointing that they did not do anything to mark our 10 year wedding anniversary and we had put a note on our booking. Drinks are quite expensive £6.50 for a pint/£10 for prosseco glass"

"Great nights stay at The Vanguard, very clean and tidy, everything we needed really, would definitely recommend."

"Clean, quiet room. Very well maintained property with parking (extra charge) 15 minutes walk from York Minster and other attractions."

"A thoroughly enjoyable stay. All the staff we encountered were so warm and friendly. Our room was very well equipped and spotless with quality fittings. Breakfast offered plenty of choice and great quality, the breakfast staff were very polite and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely look to return."

"Charming rooms, delicious breakfast, and a2 minute walk across a parking lot to the BPM. They even arranged off street parking for our car. I'll stay there the next time I go back."

"Nous avons bien apprécié notre séjour au Sycamore guess house. La chambre était petite mais confortable. L’emplacement est à 10 minutes à pied de la gare de train et 15 min du centre de York. Je recommande fortement ce guess house."

We were contacted whilst out to say the dog was distressed. Although this was later downgraded. We we contacted or called on each day of our stay (?) which got a...

"We had a room overlooking the ground for the 4 days of the Yorkshire v Somerset game. Everything was great about the hotel our room and the view of the cricket was wonderful."
