"I really like this hotel, especially as it has a lift. However, his time i was in room 7 which, oddly, had 3 sets of drawers but nowhere to hang clothes. There was no wardrobe, hanging rail or even a supply of hangers (fortunately I'd brought a couple with me)and only 1 hook, on the back of the door. I resorted to using the towel rail to hang my work clothes on! This niggle aside, it was a well priced, clean, comfortable and quiet room and I will return (with more hangers, lol). "

"Comfortable overnight stay. Good parking available and the hotel is situated conveniently just on the edge of the town centre. There was a nice selection at breakfast of cereals, yoghurts, jams etc. Nice addition of an iron/ironing board in the room rather than have to go and ask for one. "

"The hotel is well situated and the staff were very helpful. Our room had a very comfortable bed and seemed to have been recently renovated & decorated. There was a table with two comfy chairs looking out to sea which we enjoyed. However the electrics had not been adapted fully to accommodate the renovations meaning there was only one useable socket. The plumbing in the en-suite had also not been brought up to date meaning the toilet was difficult to flush and took a long time to fill up, The...

"A place of real quality. I had a superb sea/ golf course view which was a great room. The restaurant was an absolute must to visit, brilliant food and very well priced for what you got on your plate, hardest thing was deciding what to choose from the menu. Also must mention the staff who couldn’t do enough to help you."

"We had to ask about the parking and we had to park behind the church. There was limited dining we had to eat elsewhere. The continental breakfast was limited but the poached eggs on toast was good, the bar wasn't open. It took a while for the hot water to come through the shower. It needs to be updated but overall the stay was good. "

"Recommend the Lodge very warm friendly very helpful if you need assistance with anything from food to taxis places to go 😊 Decor is quirky modern & contemporary, very fitting & if you want peace & quiet or a natter & history or planning your trip etc Very clean &spacious room kitted out to every little detail "

"What a gem of a hotel. We only stayed one night. I slept so well in a big comfy bed. The rooms are beautiful. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I totally recommend. We’ll be back. "

"Friendly staff from check in to bar. Even advised on local whisky! I had a single room which didn’t job however the shower was small and I arnt so getting in and out was challenging. Food was excellent and good breakfast. Worth a stay but large room and shower for me next time"
