"First class as always, this is our fourth visit and we are already planning our next one. From a seamless check in with an amazingly warm welcome from Nicola and Cheryl who remembered us from previous visits. The room was excellent and the housekeeping team did a fabulous job throughout our stay, nothing is too much trouble. "Absolutely loved my stay, we stayed for 4 days, convention weekend and as a first stay the staff were absolutely brilliant, no complaints . they helped care for fragile items and always helpful with the room and needs. Especially Lauren and the Gent who helped us on our first night of stay (unfortunately we did not get his name) Above and beyond would love to stay here again even for a normal holiday thankyou!"

"A lovely welcome from the lady on reception and super helpful. The room was spacious with everything you need and we had a lovely view across the river. Only downside was the bathroom. The shower was very old and you needed to run it for quite a while before it ran hot, wasting a lot of water. I would stay again"

"Excellent attentive staff in every area of hotel. I stay there regularly when visiting friends and family and my only two beefs are that the elevators seem very slow and the rooms themselves do not have enough lighting. The beds are super comfortable and rooms are very clean. The bathrooms are huge but would be nice to have face cloths again but I am noticing a trend internationally regarding this! Great for parking and public transport is very handy if needed. I will be staying there again."

"This hotel is in desperate need for refurbishment. The fixtures and furniture is dated and the building itself is so old that you. It think it’s a hotel. The room I got given had a non functional AC. The telephone connection in the room was non functional too. There was no water bottle in the room. You have to buy it!!! The hotel staff had left the room windows, I suppose because the AC wasn’t working. I would not recommend this to anyone."

"The Hotel is set in lovely surroundings. Swimming pool is excellent. the room was small and a long way to walk to get to it. We had a large room facing the front gardens last time and prefer that even though it is a bit dated. The fried eggs they brought out for breakfast fresh from the kitchen were cold not certain how that happened.It was as if they came from the fridge."

"A very nice hotel with facilities and right on the bank of the Tyne river. It was a very hot period and aircon excellent. However sitting outside overlooking the river at very run and rotten tables. My beer almost fell over as the hole was so big. Grass stumps were growing under the table. A little TLC was needed to make it nice to look over to a fabulous city. We loved our 3 night stay"
