"We’ve stayed at the Lord Nelson many times when visiting our daughter while she was at Carlton University. However this last time wasn’t so great. Our room was right by the elevator so we were kept up throughout the night by loud unruly guests returning to their rooms in the wee hours. Add to this our room had a person letter for another guest left in our room and the bathroom had hair all over the floor making us believe we were in someone else’s room. Not the experience we had grown to expect."

"We had an absolutely exceptional stay! The staff was welcoming and accommodating right from the moment we checked in. Our room was immaculate, exceptionally cozy, and offered a stunning view of the city. We particularly enjoyed the accessible location, which allowed for easy exploration of nearby attractions. "I believe the hotel is quite aware that some rooms near the elevators suffer from a continuous banging noise, yet you are not made aware of that when you are assigned to the room. You are not aware of this banging until after you have settled into the room. That is the bad news.
