"You can find fancier hotels in Sorrento but Grand De La Ville is nice enough. Better than basic. Location is good, 6-7 min walk to the center square. Free breakfast buffet is pretty good with American breakfast options like scrambled eggs and an omelet station. Rooms were generously sized. We used the laundry service for a few things and it was perfect “Garden View” rooms overlook apartment buildings… not exactly scenic but we weren’t in the room much. Only good things to say."

"Pros: The hotel has a nice sea view and easy access to a swim area on the beach. It’s a short walk if you want to take a ferry to Capri or any of the Amalfi coast towns and not a far walk from the train station. Cons: The room came with a massive Jacuzzi tub that we wouldn’t use. "We LOVED this hotel! This was our first time in Positano and underestimated the amount of stairs there are to get to the hotel. With that said, the location is amazing! We had a balcony, sea view room, very spacious. The hotel has a “porter service” that will take your bags up/down the stairs (fee per bag; worth every penny if you don’t want to burn your legs carrying your stuff). They have an awesome bar and restaurant attached to the hotel with views of the bay and the city."
