"This hotel was just okay, in my opinion. The room was very outdated, with old carpet and the shower valve was broken or something because the water came half out the shower and half out the bath spout. The breakfast was great and the location to shopping outlets was also nice. The beds were comfortable enough. I would stay here again, but if you are looking for modern or nice looking this hotel doesn’t impress."

"Absolutely loved our stay. Convenient to Edinburgh (by car), great staff but what made our stay special was the property itself - absolutely beautiful... it's like being transported back in time. The setting is beautiful - so peaceful and the gorunds are beautiful."

"Beautiful well maintained gardens and golf course along with cleanliness, the castle architecture and interior was very unique. Something’s of concern were, there should be vents or exhaust fans in the toilets. Also, they close for dinner very early and because of this the bar gets too crowded for food and drinks. I wasn’t able to get my drink because of the long line. The food was very delicious and the portions were filling. I will definitely recommend this place and would come back for stay...

"It was ok. Location was good for transportation on buses or taxis. The room we got was definitely not a “luxury” hotel room or spacious like advertised and did not look like photos. There was no lift, so they should tell people they have to do stairs. The towel warmer didn’t work and there was no plug in for the hairdryer in the bathroom or anywhere near a mirror. It had a bed and breakfast without the breakfast kind of feel, rather than a “boutique hotel,” so seems a little higher priced...

"Expensive parking add on. The gym and spa left a little to be desired. The cold shower for after the saunas was not functional. The changerooms were co-ed only which made us a little uncomfortable. I feel like not enough space for privacy was available. As well as you had to pay for locker use. Not a bad stay pre flight as very close to airport but felt like was over priced"

If I were to give one critique it’s the lack of air conditioning- I’m sure it’s not needed often but it was really warm while we were there. Thankfully they provide fans- which was helpful."
