"Stay here regularly. We booked a more expensive king bed room, was told on arrival we had the best room however when we got there the room was far from an upgraded room and looked more tired than their standard room and wasn’t a king bed in it, the staff very kindly moved us to another room which was far better however it was so hot and even with the fan supplied on all night and window opened, it was uncomfortably hot. Great hotel, but I would choose the basic room in future as the upgraded...

"This is a converted pub with an Indian Restaurant on the ground floor. Food very good cooked to taste, no breakfast offered/available. Rooms clean but dated. TV not tuned in, only BBC channels available. Good shower/bathroom. "

"On arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who was very friendly and informed us of everything about the hotel. We had a lovely garden room which had a lovely view of the hotel gardens. The room was very spacious and had everything you required eg. Tea and coffee machine facilities, iron and ironing board, toiletries and plenty of storage. The bar had a great selection of drinks. The breakfast facilities were excellent they had a buffet for cereals, pastures, toast and fruit. Hot...

"Very comfortable cottage in the backyard. At first glance from the pavement you may get a negative impression but walking into the separate cottage you will be very happy. We found this to be a safe area as well."

"Stayed in the Queen Charlotte room. Very clean and modernized place to stay. Probably the best shower in a hotel/b&b ever. Large bathroom with counter space for toiletries. Large soft towels. The room has dishes and glasses, silverware, coffee and tea, and a mini fridge. It was very comfortable. When we come back to Edinburgh, will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to everyone."

"We had a lovely stay at the unique Ocean Mist hotel ship. Excellent staff and service made for a fantastic experience! The breakfast was delicious with many choices available. Make sure to check out the cocktails which are made with great care by the bar staff. Affordable luxury! Will most definitely make a return visit!"

"The biggest standout that would make me want to come back again and again was the phenomenal staff! From our late night check-in to our morning checkout everyone was top tier. The breakfast was probably my favourite meal of my entire trip! Will be dreaming of coming back for that alone."

"Booked a room, no email 24hrs before with information. Turned up with the manager, who was luckily on site, not knowing a single thing about us arriving. Got put in a room not big enough for us. Owner claimed we hadnt booked the right room, which wasnt true. The manger was lovely and helpful but the owner wasnt. Room TV was smashed so couldnt be used. This is more like a hostel, bathrooms arent private but shared. Wouldn't recommend and definitely wont be returning. Not worth the money."

"Had a room in the attic. The only window on the room had no blinds. The shower was great, lights as well. But wifi was super slow and so slow, I am not used to that anymore. Bed was soft but okay. Overall a decent stay and all the things you need. But for me the atmosphere was... not super welcoming. I would suggest new locks on the door, especially as a female solo traveller that would be appreciated. "
