"very nice room, recently rtenovated and you could tell. restaurant had a good mix of food on and bar staff very welcoming. had a dog with us and no issues. he was well looked after. its on a tourist route but actually the staff looked like they really enjoyed their jobs. warm fire in the evenning and the brewery was nice too. "This is a classic quaint, village inn, excellent food, and very comfortable folksy rooms with loft beds. The proprietor and all the staff are super helpful and friendly. A perfect spot to hike directly to the best spots of Hadrians Wall."

"The ground floor apartment could have been cleaner and better equipped! The parking was tight, the upstairs neighbours were a bit noisy. The bed was comfy but would have been better if it was bigger as the rooms are quite spacious! Pet friendly."
