"Staff very helpful and breakfast good for the morning rush, only one option in which they serve you the plate from the counter., not a buffet., the lady that serve the breakfast (forget her name) was very helpful and friendly. The room was fairly clean the curtain was with ugly spot, overall clean. The swimming pool is outside and small. We went two days for a wedding event, guessing overall the staying was satisfactory and the staff very helpful."

"The room smells dirty, almost like smoke and dirt…. Carpets in rooms and hallways are old and dirty and worn..even air conditioning in room smelled and it wasnt a good stay…beds are ok, not great.. We wont ever stay here again, .. we stayed here a few years ago and it was much nicer back then…. This hotel needs a major upgrade…"

"Ordered 2 Queen Bed room for a higher rate, was given a 1 King Bed room. Woman at desk was very rude and refused to give a refund for the extra money paid."

"I felt very welcomed when I entered the house to check in. Obviously it’s a bed in brew so I was offered a nice cold IPA even before I did my check-in. It’s a fun place to stay. There are others that don’t stay at the hotel that come just to drink so you have a lot of companionship if you want others to talk with while you’re having your beer."

"This is an old boarding house with great history. The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. A code is given to get into the front door and for your assigned room. We did have problems getting into our room but once i figured out who to call, she took care of it quick. Very close to Back Woods . "

"Nice relaxing weekend with 5 star stay at Winyah Bay Club. Fantastic accommodations as advertised. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others. "

"Rooms were dirty with dirty floors. Everything looked neglected. Bathrooms were poorly equipped, rusty faucets, broken sinks, etc. Air/heat units were on the edge of going out, noisy and had to move rooms because one did not work."

"As soon as we walked it several roaches crawled across our floor. Went to front desk and nobody answered. The furniture was also broken and damaged. And the shower was horrible. Hotel looks nothing like the photos. WILL NOT BE BOOKING AGAIN!!"
