"The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. There was barely a tablespoon of yogurt with the granola, and the toast was cold and hard like rusk. The location itself is beautiful."

"I recently stayed at the Old Abbey House Hotel in Abingdon and had a generally pleasant experience. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, with a modern yet characterful feel, and the location is excellent for exploring the town. Unfortunately, there were a few issues that affected our stay.
