We then had to wait two hours whilst the owner came to the property to get the room ready. Waiting outside in the side proved to be a disaster as their outdoor table and chair was covered in a black bitumen type substance that got all over the bottom of my trousers and completely ruined them. "The hotel and facilities are cared for and standards are maintained. There are areas that need improving very easily, better street signs not really hotels problem but would help navigate local surrounding area. Definitely explore as it is in great location… For me not having coffee espresso available unless bought! Frustrating because again simply rectified. Can’t fault the place and will definitely visit again. Staff in gym great.. pool great and all leisure facilities great.. Surrounding area very quiet and peaceful. Good choice of food including gluten free for me… but no snacking food easily accessible and private… I like to be alone! Not everyone is a social butterfly"

"Great location on the beachfront. Well maintained property with clean rooms and the extras you would expect - safety deposit box, ironing board etc. I wasn't particularly impressed with the in house toiletries which seemed cheap. Staff were all friendly and helpful and parking was easy and included in the booking price. Breakfast was fine but a little underwhelming. There was a good but not extensive range on offer. The breakfast room itself was pleasant and calm. All in all a good hotel. Would happily return."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Burstin Hotel in Folkestone. The location is perfect, the staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable. The rooms are offered at a sensible price. Excellent value for money overall. Highly recommend for a relaxing short break!"

"We turned up the place was dirty the mens toilet was really dirty and smelt there was not air in reception and children kicking a ball did not stop as we was going from carpark there was dog poo been there a long time wished I have never paid up front stay away worse place and reception could not speak English"

"Staff were amazing, so helpful and accommodating The room was super clean, modern and looked v new Breakfast was very varied and my young son was very excited by the waffle machines ! Parking was easy maybe a touch expensive as we were there 3 days but it was directly outside so easy to park and get into the hotel All in all a very good stay and would definitely recommend"

"The hotel was central and not too far from the car park. However I have to say the bed was genuinely quite uncomfortable and the pillows disappeared when your head was on them. The breakfast was great and varied. Coffee wasn’t bad. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nice stay for the beds could be much much better"
