Cari Hotel di Ashford

"Would be 5 stars all round if it wasn’t for the fireplace centrepiece under the TV not working, half of it wouldn’t switch on so one side was lit while the other stayed off and I paid a lot of money on 2 nights in the signature suite for a very special birthday relying on everything to be as advertised. With the room being the main experience this was very disappointing and even after raising this to staff it wasn’t able to be fixed. I’m all about details especially for big celebrations and this...

"A great stay here for a wedding near by, the breakfast was lovely and the spa was a real treat the next day - even after we checked out! Staff were great and room was really comfy and spacious."

"Very well run, close to everything."

"L’hôtel est très beau, propre et confortable. Les chambres sont au goût du jour. Près du centre historique à pied. Nous avons passé un beau séjour. Le personnel est très gentil et aidant."

"You couldn’t ask for a better location to see Canterbury. The staff was wonderful, breakfast was good, rooms very clean. However, it’s a 700 year old building with lots of stairs and uneven floors. If you like stepping back in time and don’t mind wonky, it’s a great place."

"Hotel room perfectly serviceable. Breakfast was disappointing as we were not given the attention others were given. Nothing explained. 4 English breakfast delivered as standard. Other diners had been able to tailor make their choices. Decided not to eat breakfast for the following mornings. Evening meal was a bit of a disaster. Two of the 4 of us ordered the carvery. The other two meals arrived after a considerable wait. The waitress asked what we were waiting for and after we said we had order...

"Room was clean but common areas were in need of repairs and carpet. Reception staff were very friendly and professional too👍"

"What a little gem of a find. Just a stone’s throw outside Canterbury city centre. Plenty of parking. Breakfast more than adequate. Room warm and spacious. Staff on hand to help if you need them. Will be staying here again when we pop down to Canterbury"

"I can not recommend this spot enough- first of all, every staff member is so warm and congenial. The room is beautiful, and the complimentary breakfast is table service (mind blowing to my American standards!). Being right in the Cathedral grounds puts you in the midst of everything but yet in a nice quiet oasis. Would come back just to stay here again."

"This place has a brilliant location, staff were fantastic and very helpful, but just please stop with the air freshners or whatever they are using, its so overpowering, and not nice, also I think people can handle old decor etc, just dont add bling to the old, why not get an interior designer pay them and get their help, it could be so cute, leave the old beams and old features, just take out the spangled headboards and blingy pictures, and please please please stop with the pungent air...
