"Hotel Sherman was the perfect oasis for our quick stay in the city. Its entrance is tucked between two buildings, and I almost missed it at first. Upon entering, I felt like I was transported to a quaint Parisian hotel- it was simply lovely! The staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. When we arrived I learned we were upgraded from a double queen room to a two bedroom penthouse suite with private terrace. It was amazing! The rooftop terrace is also beautiful, and a great place...

"The staff was exceptional - holding all doors open for you, hailing a taxi, greeting you with a smile, and by name, keeping the rooms very clean as well as the breakfast and 24/7 snack area. This snack area was especially nice as you were able to get bottled water and sparkling water in cans, along with fruit, pastries, healthy chips all day and night as well as a very nice breakfast in the morning. "We usually stay at the Millennium Premier due to the large size of their rooms and a nice work space to do my hair and makeup. It's being renovated so we had to pivot and find a new hotel. The Michelangelo definitely delivered. The rooms are very large and the bathrooms are too. I'm a bath girl so I appreciated the large sunken bathtub. My husband loved the water pressure of the shower too. The room also had a nice work space area for me to get ready (which is a must). Other things I noticed was...

"We booked an upgraded room unfortunately when we arrive, the room was not ready and it was broken. There was a lot of confusion among the staff of what was going on. We ended up waiting for many hours in a small cramped lobby. My wife is incredibly tired. We felt frustrated and angry, and when we had to be put in a room, we were putting in a room with incredibly noisy air conditioner. "Loved our stay! Clean, spacious room and great location - close to Central Park, 5th Ave, Rockefeller Center, with a subway station almost right next door. Very comfortable bed, room was cleaned every day, and staff were helpful (although some of them were not very friendly). Our room was at the back of the property so not so great views but we didn’t really mind it as it means it was quiet. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in NYC!"
