"Fantastic location overlooking the hilltop sea views. Last minute overnight booking, with only the rear looking room available (would like to try the sea view rooms next time). Room was immaculately clean with a fan, iron (and board), hairdryer, microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle (also tea, coffee and milk, that you can have refilled if you need more). "Charming place, we hadn’t realised how good the sea views were/are. Nicely located being a short walk from Babbington centre with the rest of the English Riviera easily accessible. Heating and hot water both fine, spotlessly clean and well equipped kitchen (even washing up without a dishwasher didn’t seem like a chore with those views!). We had an issue with the WiFi which the owner worked to resolve, sadly without success. But Sunny Bank is a great spot in a great location - recommended"

"Everywhere needs a good clean. Dust and cobwebs everywhere you look. Rooms old fashioned and outdated. Definitely no outdoor lovely pool or terrace. Bar not opened at all during our 3 night stay. Breakfast greasy and hardened under hot plates. I took one look at the pool and scum across the top of the jacuzzi and that was enough to put me off."

"We stayed at The Imperial for a week and overall had a very good stay, with a few caveats. We originally booked a cosy room, but it was very small, stuffy, had no AC, and the sea-view balcony could not be opened due to renovation safety restrictions. For one night it might have been manageable, but not for a week. Reception handled it very well: within about 10 min they moved us to a much larger room. It had no balcony or sea view, but the windows opened, so we considered it an upgrade. WiFi...

"We have just got back from our one night stay at RobinHill Hotel. We had two four bed rooms as we went to see a show at the Princess Theatre. Firstly the owner Erica and her staff were excellent. Super welcome. Hospitality second to none. The rooms were very comfortable cosy and clean. The breakfast was fabulous. We could not fault this hotel on anything. Even the location was perfect. "Lovely stay, just a few yards from the sea front. Lisa and Christophe made us feel very welcome. The swimming pool was great and just what you need after a long drive or busy day around Torbay. The breakfasts we enjoyed each morning were delicious and kept us full throughout the day. Would definitely return and highly recommend a stay at the lovely Charterhouse if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Torquay."
