We were pleasantly surprised once we stepped into our room. The view was gorgeous, the room was very clean and the products they offered were of very good taste and quality. The property had different levels and they had open spaces. It was more intimate because of its size and that was perfect for us. They also had kayaks and hammocks for guests to use so that amazing. We would definitely stay there again when visiting Bacalar!

The property is brand new and the rooms are beautiful. The staff - at check in, at the restaurant, and cleaning the rooms - was great. The view of the lagoon from the rooms is amazing. We really liked being able to take out the kayaks for a spin. The restaurant is very good and also very reasonably priced. We ate breakfast twice and dinner three times. We had great food and drink down there. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Amaranto and would go back again.

The hotel itself is faultless, it's a new building with very new clean amenities. Unfortunately the running of it has issues. There was no concierge who was in touch prior to our arrival as is standard. The room fob constantly had issues, longest we had to wait was a few minutes to simply enter our room. Conflicting instructions regarding toilet paper disposal in the bathroom. Non-maintained life jackets which meant most of them were covered in mould. Breakfast included was extremely basic and if you add on anything which would be 100 extra pesos they'd charge the entire meal. 3 days the eggs were so over salted we couldn't eat on top of having to wait easily up to 45 minutes for breakfast. Requested room service once and our food was brought in installments without cutlery. I think the staff needs more training as the potential of the hotel is definitely there but things like management really let down the whole experience. Lastly please get an engineer to fix the WiFi, we had to keep forgetting and rejoining the WiFi every time we lost signal or left the building which was incredibly irritating.

The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the hotel could improve in a few areas. Guests should be asked about accessibility needs in advance, especially regarding stair access. Cleanliness was acceptable. During our stay, a power outage affected the lower levels, including the restaurant and bar, for two days.

Just do it! Beautiful bijou hotel

Location was by far the best we have had travelling around Yucatan. Beware no parking just on side of the road The Good 1 the room was large, modern with plenty of storage well planned. 2 king bed with lovely bedding and comfortable mattress felt like home 3. Bathroom with separate WC and shower with amazing water pressure and plenty of hot water, rare in Mexico 4 mini fridge, nespresso capsule coffee maker, water provided and coffee 5 beautiful balcony with super comfortable extra large chairs views across the lagoon which were amazing WiFi worked really well Amenities lovely terraced areas with beautiful comfortable seating Pool small but adequate Private jetty to the lagoon which included again sun loungers, paddle boards and life jackets for free use on lake. Restaurant and food Hit and miss small menu with usual food like most restaurants in Mexico. Very reasonable prices for drinks and food which again is rare in tourist areas The staff however need to be trained and have a better attitude in the restaurant I believe the manager was the best Maria the worst. No elevator but staff on hand to help with your bags Reception checking in was excellent Fatima was by far the best and friendliest receptionist we have had in our Mexican tour the Morning ones were dower probably bored and in need of training.

El hotel está muy bonito, nuevo, con buenas amenidades y gran servicio y amabilidad del personal, alimentos con buen sazón y temperatura, el único inconveniente es que es muy cansado para moverte dentro del hotel porque todo está en diferente nivel (lobby, habitaciones, restaurant, área de piscina y laguna) y no se cuenta con elevador
