"We chose this hotel as it had a restaurant, however on arrival we were told that the restaurant was closed due to a function, but that the bar would be able to provide a meal. We passed the bar on the way to our room & were kindly given a menu to look at. After dropping our luggage we returned to the bar to eat, only to be told that the bar had stopped serving meals due to the function. "Location was great, for parks and gardens pubs and restaurants, staff very friendly breakfast was very good plenty of choice. Room was small very hot even with a fan going all night which was noisy, shower wasn't great too hot or two cold, lucky dip on which one you got, could probably shop around for better B&B for the price. "I have been using this hotel for nine years now to attend trade shows, booking 5 rooms at a time for 2 nights. Great staff, excellent value for money, good food, and excellent location......but if the weather is warm you will NOT get any sleep. Unlike the lovely cool bar the air-con in the rooms is complete rubbish. A faint warm draught leaks out from the vent and the controls on the wall simply control the noise level.
