Provide shuttle service to Nagoya Hill Mall & BCS. Breakfast provided are very basic, only few dishes. It's opposite GO CART & abt 10mins walk to Golden Prawn Seafood Restaurant.

Bad Experience…
During my visit at Golden Bay Hotel dated 26 Oct 2019. Upon arriving at the hotel at 1000hrs, my friends and I was told by the concierge that there’s no room for us. The rooms were not ready due to rectification works. They should have inform us in advance about it so that we could make the necessary arrangement as not to waste our time. After an hour two of waiting, we were told that they will get us our room but we need to share rooms in order to accommodate, but we decline the offer as we have already paid our stay in full. They sent us from one hotel to another and make us look like bumbling idiots. Then they told us they got 3 rooms which is like a chalet, so we went back to Golden View hotel to view this "chalet" which is located near the swimming pool. This chalet looks like a chicken coup and smells of cow dung, it looks like someone got murdered in that chalet (yes its that bad), it was quiet and haunting, the chalet looks like it has not been occupied since Japan invaded Asian in WW2, I kid you not, there was a bed on the floor, a very musty smell and only us around and no one else!! Do we seriously look like some barn yard animals or someone looking for an outdoor adventure?? Look, if the hotel would have give us 2 or 3 weeks notice that the hotel is fully booked then maybe we could have could have planned to go somewhere else but this is not the case, who wouldn't get angry?? We were treated like idiots running here and there looking for a god

Provide free shuttle transport to BCS & Nogoya Mall. Walking distance to Golden Prawn Seafood Restaurant.
Super friendly, helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast. Highly recommended as long as you're ok taking taxis into main areas.

The place was listed as a 3 star but it was definitely a 1 star. Smokey, dirty ashtrays in the lobby area. A karaoke place next door that was very loud and went until 6 am. DO NOT STAY THERE!!!! Waste of money

Very Friendly Staff
Over all stay is very good with all the friendly staff, Front office clerks, housekeeping staff and restaurant associates. However the wardrobe was dusty every time we stay. The so call personal safe is so difficult to use, be the location, method of keying the passwords, the words of instruction are invisible to follow.................... cannot be used is the word.

Poor maintenance, Heater is not consistent, got burn if adjusted hot. otherwise too cold. Bed linen smell from not dry properly
1st impressions...the staff..Nona ( Hope I'm correct) Speak to us in mandarin when she look at our passport. This make me feel at home. She then politely inform us the room is not ready and quickly highlight to us on the free shutter bus to the two major shopping mall. 2nd impression... when we checked in the room ,WOW again..the room was clean and fresh. The tower and bedsheets was soft and have nice smell, so it was bless to checked in just after cleaning up. 3rd impressions.. Whenever we are in and out of the hotel the staff will always greet and open the door for us. So we are paying 3.5 stars price but receiving 5 stars service. No problem all on their location and sowhat if they are away from shopping malls ,strongly recommend to stay on this hotel when visiting Batam.

Hot water not consistent
Hot water is not consistent, even though we set. Afraid little kids can get burn
Nice comfortable table. Good service and at 50000rup, a reasonable breakfast to keep you going till lunch in town.
Service is good, from reception to restaurant staff to shuttle drivers, all are courteous and well trained.
Can just walk to the attractions at Golden Batam which the day tours bring you to, but a waste of time .
Free shuttle service to city centre is useful, especially after the horror stories I read on Trip advisor about the taxi system there. But time taken to reach n return plus waiting time means those who like shopping should consider more expensive equivalent hotel in centre.
Inconsiderate guests talking at 1am in the corridor and stupid tour guides shouting in the corridors at 5am waking up the tourists for early morning call spoiled my last night there. This wasn't the hotels fault but perhaps they can inform tour groups about unacceptable behaviour
Overall, those looking for cheap clean hotel, and just a quiet place to relax bum around, this is a good place.

Could be better
Overall, it's an average hotel if you need a place to reside in batam. For the price you're paying, you shouldn't expect something out of the ordinary.
I feel that the cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms could be massively improved. Stains in the toilet. Doesn't smell fresh. (And there was soap on the floor when I came in for the first time). The condition of the room could be improved too. Having stayed at other hotels in batam within the same rating and price, this hotel is behind the rest of them.
Breakfast is alright. Nothing much to choose from. But it keeps you full if you're able to eat something off the selection.
There are a few eateries within walking distance so if you need to, go get a bite outside. There's a minimart just right down the road too.
Distance to major places in batam center is alright. Within 15 minutes drive.
However it could be quite far if you're planning to visit attractions in sekupang, harbour bay or maybe even barelang.
All in all, it's decent for a short stay. But not a place to impress your crush or scandal you're bringing over to stay with you.

Just opposite the go-kart and other adventure places. Free Shuttle service provided to go BCS And Nagoya Hills. Best value for money. Like the firm pillows and bed, just need to work on the hot-cold water. It gets either really hot or cold, despite the direction you turn the mixer tap. Ask for room away from the foodcourt...

Feel dissapointed.need to wait 1 hour then i get my room.inside the room,the bed is ok.comfortable but the toilet is not so clean.only body soap given.no shampoo.aircon also not so strong.then the breakfast is not satisfactory.no variety.

No toilet paper, no body lotion, power trip.
When I arrived at the hotel ard 2pm I have to wait for the staff to allocate to me a room as they say they were full yesterday. Is that my problem? I have to wait for half an hr for my room. On top of that the body lotion and toilet paper the staff simply never top up. When I call the housekeeping dept they also say they will bring but waited for so long and nobody came.

overall the service is good and the room is clean
the toilet cleanliness needs to be improved n bath towers is quite old
Go around the world and you can't get many such places which give you quality, comfort and service at such an unbelievable price. Will never ever forget the service rendered by Rio, Jenny and Octa. The people are so kind you will fall in love with them. The place is ideal for a family with walking distance to adventure and awesome food. Go Karting to Parasailing, you are just a 3 - 4 min walk away. The breakfast is great. The shuttle service to the city centre is a dream. If you are going to Batam, you should not stay anywhere else!
