"Visited Grand Mercure in 2026, after the refurbishing. The landscaping works at the entrance is still being upgraded, and the entire hotel looks brand new. The team of staff were all efficient and warm, from the reception, concierge, to the Ambrosia Restaurant. They have a convenient shuttle to the mall, with a brand new van. The kueh lapis and grilled sausages at the breakfast buffet were delicious, and the chefs did the grilling on the spot. Will be keen to try the Sup Buntut next time...

"Despite being a hotel that is quite old, we appreciate that the room was renovated to a modern look and we like the beddings and stuff. However the bathroom was a let down because sewage odour kept escaping through the floor traps. To cover the smell, the housekeeping use urinal mat, commonly used in public men's toilet urinals, as deodoriser, making not only the bathroom but the whole room (in fact the whole floor) to smell like public toilet."

"I am from Bali and was not expecting Batam have beautiful ocean until I come to this property. My room was facing the ocean. It was emerald blue water and can be seen clearly. I wish i stayed for longer as this has been a long trip before i went back from Batam."

"Personal war wunderbar, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage sehr schön. Aber unser Bungalow und andere müssten renoviert werden, die Aussenveranda besonders. Das Resort kämpft tafer nach derInsolvenz. Sie bauen sehr fleissig an den Mängeln. Wir würden trotzdem wiefer kommen."
