"When we got there it turned out it was wrong hotel in grassington it was for the same hotel but in Cheshire. Same photo on advert just different area , staff there said it happens a lot. Very disappointed that this happens on a daily basis. This also happend to two of our friends who stayed here on same day and they ended up paying extra 100.00 for another room . We ended up going home wasn't paying any more than we already did for one night. Highly disappointing that this happens regularly and...

"Lovely pub, friendly staff. We only stayed 1 night but the rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. The breakfast was cooked beautifully and really tasty. We would have had diner there but unfortunately it was the Christmas market on within Tarvin that evening so no food was served other than a stall outside. Free parking for people staying in the pub. Within a 15 min drive into Chester - Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. An enjoyable if not brief visit. "

"Hôtel très bien situé, facilement accessible de la gare ou de la gare routière. Le centre ville n'est pas très loin non plus, les balades le long du canal sont plutôt agréables. Je recommande vivement cet établissement pour un séjour à Chester."

"Excellent breakfast, fresh hot and cold food with great choice of options. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Room was lovely and clean as was the rest of the hotel. Nice cozy bar. Excellent location for as we like to be near tourist attractions, restaurants and bars (all were 4-10 min walk from hotel) but off the main bit so it was quiet at the hotel. Close to railway also. "
