"On arrival staff were very welcoming. We were able to check in a little earlier and shown to our room and given all the info we needed for our stay. Quirky little pub with entrance to our room up a little staircase through the kitchen area. Stairs maybe a little tricky for some as they are quite steep. "The sheets were clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV worked, the shower head and toilet bowl were dirty. Both these things ought to be spotless in a hotel, if they have cleaners then they are not doing their job properly!! The room was set for one person when the booking stated 2. We asked for another mug but didn’t realise about just one large towel until we had a shower and at that point just shared as unable to contact the desk unless we walked over to them. "What a lovely place to stay! Stayed here for a night for work nearby. The room was pretty, the bed super comfortable, the temperature lovely and cosy, the bathroom toiletries and bed linens all super high quality. Wi-Fi was strong and meant I could work. But best of all, they really had thought of everything in the room… a thoughtful and plentiful hamper of breakfast items and treats; a mini fridge with fresh milk, juice, water, fruit and chocolate; a hairdryer; and even a pretty stone coaster...

"We stayed in this property for 5 days (December 11 to 16). On checking out, we asked for the total fee for our parking our vehicle for the 5 nights. We were told it costs £8 a night and to pay using the machine at the gate. We did. We paid £40 for the 5 nights. We got home, and received a £60 "fine" for parking at this hotel, even though we paid, we have the receipt and it shows in our credit card. We got another £60 admin fee charged by our car rental company to our card for this same...

"First time staying and we were impressed. Rooms are spacious and clean. Having a bath in our family room would have been better for our younger children. The receptionist was very helpful, welcoming and friendly! The restaurant food was good. The breakfast was brilliant, lots of choice. Great for both adults and children. I would definitely recommend and would stay again. "
