"I used the hotel for the London marathon, was a place to sleep more than anything. However I thought this was a lovely hotel, at a very reasonable price given the area of London it was situated. The service was really good and whatever I asked for was no trouble. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay again. "

"Service was impeccable and the room was just perfect! There were quite a lot of stairs to our room but our bags were delivered for us while we checked in and the room was worth every step. Lovely! We also ate a meal and had drinks in the pub. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"This Biulding oozes history and charm. While it is clearly a little tired and basic on the accommodation, which is reflected in the price. The breakfast was exceptional and amazing value! (it was inclusive). All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Chloe stood out in particular, she was very enthusiastic and informative telling us about the history of the building and going that extra mile in customer service and attention to detail. "lovely weekend at the Star. it’s a pub and a busy one at that with rooms. That said the accommodation is clean and comfortable and offers good value for money. it is well patronised for meals by the locals. staff were pleasant and helpful. Good base for weekends"
