"Stayed in the Royal Suite with my friend and it was a perfect getaway. We both had our private suite bedroom with bathroom, a common living room and kitchen. There was a nice pool and courtyard, the staff was awesome, and I would definitely stay again."

"I stayed for a weeekend, Fri-Sunday. The evening staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful. The daytime staff was efficient, not as friendly, but still courteous. The room was comfortable and well presenting, but the shower tiles were a bit gross which made me feel uncertain about the other spaces. The bed was comfortable. "The breakfast area was dirty when we arrived at 8pm. The next morning there was very little to eat at breakfast. - no plates, spoons, or napkins. There seemed to be no one replacing/refreshing the food and supplies. Lots of dirty dishes stacked up. Our room had a stale smell, even after running the AC all night, it still smelled stale the next morning. "I called a month ahead to plan my trip. I was coming with a large uhaul and trailer and asked if there would be a space I could park and plug in. I was told over the phone absolutely there is a place to park and plug in. We arrive at 7 pm at night and the hotel is not at all what was explained over the phone. "The best thing I can say is the location was perfect for my visit. Breakfast was only mediocre. Housekeeping was pathetic. I checked in Sunday and finally got my bathroom cleaned and trash emptied on Thursday, and this was after two in person requests with the front desk person. Twice I was going to use the restrooms in the hallway off of the lobby and there was no toilet paper."

"The room was clean and staff was very friendly. They are going through a bit of construction/update but still manageable. Only thing it does not have an elevator. The hotel is two floors and you would need to carry your items up the stairs. We had a quick weekend trip so it was not a problem for us"

"No Notice that the suites had no cookware or dishes, made the kitchenette unusable. The primary reason I booked at the property was that I could cook my own food. I usually stay at a different property of this type, but the rate seemed to be a good deal. Also, I was billed for four rooms."

"This is my second stay at Art and Lodging South Bend. It is five stars across the board. Conveniently located near downtown. Convenient to Mishawaka and the Lake Michigan beach resort towns. The home has tons of character, is well maintained, clean, and beautiful. The beds are great. There’s nothing not to like."

"The mansion is a beautiful, historic treasure. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast plentiful and tasty, and the amenities were very nice. The proprietor generously shared her time talking about the history, the community, etc. Highly recommend for those who enjoy indulging in history and beauty during their stay."
