"The bar staff need some serious training, terrible service on Saturday evening , staff looked like university students clueless and zero customer service The room was ok, lots of fluff and dust under the bed, no I didn't deliberately check, I dropped something and saw it, the shower cubicle needs a good scrub too! And no fridge in the room!"

"The hotel, staff and food were all excellent, the only downfall is you have to pay to park there which I dont agree with if you are staying there. For that reason I will not stay there again."

"Whilst everything was responsibly clean,some things where a bit dated and needed some tlc. Bed linen and towels where good quality. Staff where helpful and pleasant.Breakfast was lovely and plentiful.Parking was also a bonus. "Undergoing renovations during my stay so have to reserve judgement a bit. Room was clean and comfortable and small things do matter. Hot chocolate and biscuits were a much appreciated extra that I wasn’t expecting. WiFi worked fine for me and breakfast was good. "

"Check in was a bit challenging. First person not as helpful but second person was excellent so depending on who you get breakfast was good with hot and cold. Room was basic but had noisy neighbours and thin walls. Room clean. Location was the greatest feature! Would stay again"

"Esk Vale was a lovely B&B. Our host was friendly and readily available. Our room was clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Would definitely stay again. A walk to restaurants and water. "

"The location is great the bathroom to our room was up some stairs from the bedroom the door opened out towards the stairs covering the handrail so could be a problem for some coming down the stairs from the bathroom. The bedroom was also up flights of stairs The mattress needs to go in the bin now!
