"Great hotel, plentiful parking. I leave my windows open at night when I'm asleep but had to shut it at about 5am when cars started zooming down the A road outside - once shut, I could hear nothing. Comfortable bed, clean. Large room. No lifts so if you're struggling with mobility, one to think about."

"Had to ask for a room change on arrival as too many steps at various intervals on way to room E.g bathroom had 2 step drop into the room. Not ideal for elderly couple. Having said rhat one has to remember that it is one of the oldest buildings in the town. This was our second stay there and will be back ."

"I only had a sausage breakfast roll but it was excellent. I had a room overlooking the river and it was great to have a coffee in the morning watching kingfishers from my room. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful."

"The building is centuries old, so keep that in mind. The stairs are not always level, but they manage to provide modern amenities. The restaurant is a favorite among locals for good reason. And the House is across the street from the cathedral. So convenient."

Hotel looking a bit tired and in need of some love and attention regarding decor, some carpets, etc. Lovely to sit outside on the river bank with a drink in hand or if the weather not favourable in the restaurant looking out "
