"Fantastic Stay with Incredible Views! ​Amazing hotel with stunning scenery and convenient free parking on-site. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the air conditioning was a fantastic touch. ​The river view room certainly didn’t disappoint—we had an incredible direct view of both the river and the cathedral! ​My only minor suggestions for improvement would be adding a small fridge in the room and providing a bit more counter/surface space in the bathroom for toiletries. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!"

"We loved staying in this 13th century inn. We were given a room in the original section of the inn - amazing wattle and daub walls, original timber work and wonky floors! The River Avon flows past the front of the Rose and Crown property. A beautiful settling and a privilege to be able to stay here! If you love history, this is the place to stay in Salisbury."

"A very pleasant suite for a single older person with easy access to all facilities. Perfect for a short stay. I especially liked the bedside table with inclusive sockets for device charging. A smaller kettle to get access to tap would be good though necessity is the mother of invention. Bed was comfortable and suitable for a tall person. Excellent modern shower unit."

"We used this location to visit Stonehenge as well as the Old Harry Rocks/Dorset Coast in general. It was also convenient and easy to sneak a day trip into Bath from this spot. It was perfect for our longer days, coming back to a clean apartment with all the amenities to cook our own meals. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. On site parking is available for £5 per day or if you arrive by train it’s a mere 100 meters to the station. If you arrive by train, the location is very walkable to grocery stores and local attractions (Salisbury Cathedral). Staff were super responsive in the Expedia chat and very friendly. It’s a self check in / check out, with staff on site in case you experience any issues. The fridge/table was also stocked with complimentary breakfast items which was a nice touch. There is a full laundry room, again stocked with laundry detergent, stain remover, etc. Would absolutely recommend staying here and if I am ever back in the area, I would stay here again myself."

"The space was great, especially the sitting room area. We really enjoyed our stay here except for one odd thing - the property manager scheduled carpet cleaning for the middle of our 2 night stay. I don't normally check my email while on vacation, but I just happened to check and saw a message that carpet cleaners would be coming. There is not a safe at the property and even if we locked our travel documents in our suitcases, there's nothing stopping a thief from taking the whole suitcase. So we were very nervous and debating cancelling our day plans so one of us could guard our belongings. We were most afraid that our travel documents could be taken. Luckily, we requested they reschedule the cleaning and they obliged. It seemed odd that the cleaning wasn't scheduled for a day the room is not rented or that days weren't blocked out from being rented ahead of time. The situation add brief stress to our trip unnecessarily and I hate that it put a damper on a great stay."

"This property was really nice. The location could not have been better, just a very short walk into the town centre where the city was buzzing and vibrant. We appreciated the fans, too, although we also brought our own. We are from Scotland, and we arrived into Salisbury in a big heatwave...something we are not used to. We had everything we needed in the property, all instructions were clear. It was very useful to have a dedicated parking spot - parking in Salisbury is expensive and not easy to find spaces. The TV and sound bar were very good quality, and we appreciated being able to access the HDMI slots, so that we would plug in our own TV Fire stick. The balcony finished off the place nicely, although for us during our stay, it was too hot to sit outside. On that note, for the owners, the wooden flooring on that balcony had lots of oozing sap coming from the knots in the wood panels. One of us stepped in that, and subsequently stepped back into the lounge area and brought in a little sap. It was extremely sticky, but we managed to clear up what was there - took off the shoes as soon as we stepped inside. So just wanted to make the owners aware this is a minor issue, when it is hot and sunny. But we were very happy with our stay, perfect for the 4 nights we're we in Salisbury, whilst visiting our Son in his 40th birthday celebrations. This property comes fully recommended and we would return next time we need accommodation in Salisbury - thank you for a wonderful stay."
