The Stones Hotel

"The room was lovely. When we arrived, and on other occasions, reception was unstaffed with no bell or other mechanism to reduce the 15 minute wait for a key and room allocation. Parking was exceptionally good. The building is characterless but clean and functional. The door fitted poorly and was rigged with an alarm if left open for more than 10 seconds, which was a bother. There is a gym which is very small but well equipped and clean with newish equipment. The overall feeling is of a place in need of a face-lift, including the decaying entry decking, however we had a great night's sleep on the comfy mattress in the generous room."

"Super hotel, fantastic location with easy walk into Salisbury along a pretty path. Comfortable, clean room with coffee maker. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Evening meal was super, in restaurant with millstream running underneath. Very atmospheric."

"Staff were very nice. Check in was easy. Room clean and cool, it was a hot day outside. Car park was very busy but we managed to squeeze in, cost £10p night. Breakfast was ok. Choice for cooked breakfast was ok but not very hot, buffet style. Hotel is located close to a busy road, this did not impact our stay at all but the area is a little run down."
