"Loved this hotel and the people! Arrived late from Ireland and they made us right at home. Great breakfast and then walk to the main city and Cathedral area. Stunning city!!! Then off to the Manchester stadium for a souvenir. Then we caught the train in the hotel to York. It was a perfect stay (great food in the bar too)."

"This was a great stay. A beautiful heritage property. Felicia and her Paul were fantastic hosts. We stayed with our son his wife and their 22 month old toddler. They could not have made us more welcome. Felicia was very accommodating about breakfast and other things as our son was running the Cheshire held marathon. The breakfasts were all delicious. "No wi fi available. . Room basic, with bed ,1 plastic chair ,1 plastic stool no sofa. No amenities apart from a Kettle, no cups but were given.2 paper cups and t and coffee when asked at reception. 2 bath towels but no hand towels. Tiny bar of soap and 2 sachets of shower wash. Bed rock hard and very uncomfortable. When stripping bed in morning, to save cleaners a little time , discoverd why we were pulling at the quilt all night...it was a single quilt sideways in a king sized cover! ...

"I'm sorry to say I can't recommend the Alderley Edge Hotel. I stayed here for a business trip to the local business park, booked for two nights. The first night was fine — I slept well. My room (55, second floor) ran warm, but opening the window solved it. In the morning I noticed the shower pole had come away from the wall and was just hanging there. I flagged it at reception. It was still usable, so no real issue. The second night was a different story. The hotel was hosting an awards...
