In particular Visi, the front of house manager, was very accommodating, after we were unable to book the restaurant, going above & beyond to ensure our NYE was the best experience we’ve ever had. Highly recommend this hotel. "

"Visually the place makes a very good impact. Dinner, the food was excellent as were the staff. Breakfast … we’d booked it at check in. We turned up to breakfast and there was nothing booked , the service at breakfast was okay , we did have to case up something. But overall we had a very good stay and would return."

"Have stayed a number of times over about 10 years or so - is consistently good. Staff are always friendly and helpful, food is excellent and very good local beer is available. The rooms are small but do what is needed and have always been clean. This is a proper traditional country pub and we need more of them!"

"It was nice and tidy. Not enough outlets on the bed side of the room. Had to stretch cords for chargers. 1 more outlet on the headboard side would make it easier. "
