I recommend that you check the hot water on entry as when I checked in I wsinceas very tired after my journey and piled into bed. "Amazing location and amazing hotel. We loved our stay however it could do with some refurbishment. It is a dog friendly place so maybe could do with a deep clean in the restaurant area. The food was good but all the dog hair everywhere was a bit unpleasant. However we would still come back."

Clean and comfortable room, OK breakfast, nice evening meal, though note that if you book dinner the drink they offer you is NOT included, which only became clear at checkout! "All the staff were extremely helpful, the hotel was beautifully decorated and furnished and the rooms were lovely. Only a five minute walk into town and some lovely restaurants and bars. Throughly recommend whether you want to relax in Keswick or walk the surrounding hills. The boat trip was lovely and very reasonable, gave access to some pretty spots including the walk Cat Bells."
