"Beautiful gardens surround what clearly was a stunning manor house in its day. Met at reception by a cheerful helpful lass who soon had us booked in. Room was very dated and tired and desperately needed a full refresh. A questionable mark on the bed valance caused concern. The bath plug spun wildly and wouldn't seal meaning a bath was out the question. Saying that there was no shortage of hot water for a shower. We slept well enough and beds were comfortable. "We stayed one night on our way up to Sandend. We will definitely stay at this hotel again on our way back. And each time we will travel to the Highlands.Very good Wi-Fi, shower pressure and free car park. Perfect stay with pet. "

"Clean and modern hotel. Very stylish in it's look. Ideal parking. Check in to check out was great, room excellent and a ideal stay less one thing. Ordered room service rather than eat in the Grill, felt the food wasn't up to the quality expected. £35 for a ribeye that was undercooked and £19 for a burger that had been cremated. That said, breakfast was excellent so perhaps just an off night. Would stay again as apart from a let down for dinner it was overall very good."

"Lovely hotel, newly refurbished, 6 minute walk from departures (no shuttle bus though). Restaurant too small for hotel, was full. Room and bathroom good. Will stay again."

"The property was good enough. The room was clean with no funny smells or anything like that. The amenities were nonexistent. Even down to not having hand or body lotion in the bathroom. It was truly the bare minimum. "

"From the time we walked in, shaking terrified as Americans who had just driven on the wrong side of the road for the first times in our lives, the staff was nothing but wonderful. "The location is perfect if you don't want to over pay for your stay and be in old town via tram in 20 minutes , It was very quiet area , right next to transportation to old town, shopping mall right next to the area ,we enjoyed shopping the daily needs with local and very friendly people "

"Located in a lovely neighbourhood, walking distance to the beach(10 mins), friendly, helpful staff. Disappointed that we couldn’t get an appointment in the beauty salon but we enjoyed the use of the leisure centre. I would stay there again. "

"Bath was not cleaned properly when arrived with rust and mould on it. One of the towels was dirty. Swimming pool is not opened during the time, which is shown on site and closed 1 hour earlier, sauna swithed off 2 hours earlier, than should be. Girls in spa are not friendly at all. Very disappointing, as this hotel was choosen because of the spa mainly. Very limited parking space, which is not mentioned on site at all. Should park on ZOO parking most of the time, which is not free."
