"1 night stay and since I arrived late, I like the ability to still be able to access the building. The room was a good size. I wasn’t that pleased about the shower room. I feel like you shouldn’t be able to see under the shower doors (privacy)."

"I have stayed here for 20 years, it was The Opal and it has been gorgeously remodeled but has all the things I love before. In and out enclosed parking, Mel’s Diner attached so food mostly anytime, comfortable beds👍, conveniently located at Van Ness and Geary Street so Ubers and cabs etc are easy. Tommy’s Joint an SF favorite for great food, beer and cocktails across the street. And a big movie theater practically next door. Very reasonable price for how nice it is now."

They had a cappuccino machine and coffee and I would just sit there and it was so pretty great locations walk out the door and there’s all the little malls for Japan town. "Hotel Nikko is near tenderloin so be careful walking around at night. The room we got had a Bluetooth speaker in it so that alone would make me inclined to book again. The staff were really nice. The lobby looks clean and modern. It’s a bit dusty in the rooms which caused a lot of allergies but otherwise good stay. "

"This is a historic property important to the history of San Francisco. The lobby has been re-done by Phillip Stark, and was popular with young workers on weekday afternoons. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would reserve it again. "

"It is always a pleasure to stay at the Hotel Emblem. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. Love the location. It is walkable to shops and restaurants. It also has an onsite bar/lounge and coffee shop open during the day. This is my favorite SF hotel. I highly recommend it."

"This is a beautifully updated historic hotel. Rooms were clean, tastefully decorated and fairly spacious. Bathroom was small, which was fine for us. Staff was nice. You cannot beat the location. Union Square with shopping and restaurants is a block away and Chinatown is an easy walk. Hop a cable car right in front of the hotel (buy all-day hop on and off cable car tix on the city's apps) to visit the Wharf or Ghirardelli Square. Or walk up Nob Hill to catch the cable car to the Ferry...

"Around 40 minutes from the airport and only a few blocks from the metro station. Everything you need is a few minutes walk from the hostel. Property is a great deal and was safe.
