"Rooms are worn out. I read somewhere they’ll renovate soon. Staff is friendly but they look bored, very off character for a Mexican resort. My main concern was food. Brkfst Buffett was terrible and restaurants were meh. Pool is amazing and it is so close to airport that it pains me not to go back, but I wouldn’t. "

"This is a lovely hotel and the staff go above and beyond to make it so. Elisabeth, Oscar, and Raul were particularly outstanding in their attentiveness and kindness, but everyone we encountered was great. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and it was spacious and comfortable and luxurious. "Very very nice staff very polite. Clean room, nice beach front resort, very clean garden, clean pool. The only downside was as my husband and I walked in, we were tricked, I mean side tracked into thinking that the lady that was in front of hotel with bellboy was actually checking us in and she mentioned she was going to tell us about the amenities of the resort. "We were given the North Tower and we had a few bugs but nothing that really bothered us. Made sure to keep food in fridge and not out. No sun at pools until late and very hard to get a chair by the pool as there are none on the beach. Quite crowded. Food was good. Kids club was ok - we just sat around their pool with our little ones. had some sun there and lots of chairs so this was nice. Gorgeous view from the room and saw wales. Would not go back but I do love southern Vallarta."
