I rarely write negative reviews, but this stay at Nobu Hotel was a full miss—and not a close call.
First, it is wildly overpriced for what you get. A simple double espresso was $12, which is a good proxy for how everything is priced on property. And because there is effectively no off-property experience unless you’re willing to take a 45-minute cab ride, you’re completely captive to those prices. The result: you end up spending a small fortune just existing there.
Which brings me to the bigger issue: the service and operations simply didn’t work. We had no hot water the entire stay—four days, not one hot shower—despite repeated and very clear requests to fix it. On the final night, they offered to move us, which was impractical at that point since we were fully settled. That’s not a solution.
They also placed a $1,000 food & beverage hold on the credit card—which, candidly, ended up being about what it cost per day anyway with four of us across two rooms eating and spending moderately on property. That alone tells you everything you need to know about the economics of staying there.
In sum: completely overrated, operationally flawed, and absurdly expensive for what it delivers. The Nobu brand may carry weight elsewhere, but this property does not live up to it.
Go somewhere else.
