This property and the fantastic owner far exceeded our expectations. Super clean, great location and the restaurant was a fantastic place to have breakfast! Hermosa, limpia, amplia, cómoda... PERFECTA

La Estancia en la isla fue tan placentera... Gracias a ustedes La habitación era increíble, limpia, cómoda, grande... Con todo lo necesario para descansar Estuvimos en la habitación del. Primer piso y era hermosa El jardín y sus 2 terrazas nos encantaron Estamos muy agradecidos con majid, Mony y los chicos de la cafetería Y su ubicación perfecta.... Simplemente EXCELENTE

This place was everything we needed and more. Its location is perfect! Rooms are great, clean, and comfortable. I love that its such a small property that it feels peaceful. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was nice and attentative. The owner greeted us upon arrival and provided suggestions to sightsee and places to eat. I would come back here for sure!

The host was very friendly and accommodating. The AC was poor and needs adjustments because it did not cool off the entire room, I woke up sweating in the middle of the night several times during my stay. Water pressure in the shower was mediocre, but can’t expect much since it is an old building. The cleaning lady also was very nice and cleaned daily, however my main concern were the bed bug bites I experienced. I really hope they focus on cleaning and washing their sheets regularly. I would definitely like to stay here again, but only if they pay attention to washing their entire linens thoroughly; bed spreads, bottom and top sheets and pillow cases.

Wonderful stay!

What a great find! Comfortable, fairly priced, convenient to restaurants and a remarkable beach. Great breakfast chef to boot. Our host Medjib (sp?) went out of his way to direct to the best restaurants and we can’t describe our satisfaction with his recommendations.

Perfect !!

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits au Element of the Island et nous avons adoré l’hôtel. Chambre très propre et très fonctionnelles. Cuisinette avec réfrigérateur, micro-onde, grille-pain, cafetière, le tout très apprécié !! Lit et oreillés très confortable. Salle de bain très jolie avec douche seulement, jamais manqué d'eau chaude et bonne pression d'eau. Air climatisé fonctionne a merveille. Wifi dispo dans les chambres inclus dans la location. L'emplacement est parfait, proche de la playa norte et des petits marchés et rue principal. L’hôtel nous mets a disposition des chaises et parasols de plage ainsi que serviettes de plage. Petit hôtel de seulement 3 chambres très chaleureux, jardin intérieur très beau !! Le propriétaire est super gentil !! Il n'y a pas de réception, nous faisons affaire directement avec le proprio. Restaurant au rez-de-chaussé, excellent !! Nous allons y retourner c'est certain !!! Je recommande fortement l'Element of the Island !!!

Hidden Gem on Isla

We were in Cancun for 2 weeks and wanted a 2 day getaway to Isla Mejueres. We wanted to be close to Norte Beach and downtown. By chance we found this gem of a hotel. The location and price drove our initial decision. The owner, staff, and amenities will drive our decision to come back again and again.

Aivain ihastuttava pieni perhehotelli / B&B. Keskeinen sijainti, hyvät sängyt, iso huone ja aivan loistava isäntäpari jonka palvelutaso ja ystävällisyys teki lähtemättömän vaikutuksen. Mikäli etsit kohtuuhintaista majoitusta ilman luxusta, niin tätätä voin lämpimästi suositella. Lisäksi omistaja pariskunta tekee pientä korvausta vastaan hyvän aamiaisen, joka on myös muiden alueella asuvien suosiossa.

Great space right in town

This is a very nice studio with everything you need half a block from Hidalgo Street. We didn't hear any noise during our stay. It has a small kitchen and a nice shower. A jug of filtered water is there which is very handy. It has a small patio and shared rooftop space with nice views. The king size bed is very comfortable. Definitely the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on in Mexico and I think more comfy than our bed at home. Mahjid was there to meet us and to show us anything that we might need. Would stay again, also the cafe has delicious food.

Awesome location, staff, breakfast, room!

Ok, so this is probably a hidden gem of a stay here on the island. Host it super friendly, and a word to the wise, listen to his recommendations for places to eat! Breakfast is probably within the top 3 on the island. Given how reasonable it is, I'd put it easily at No. 1 among all the other places I tried. Place was kept clean during our stay, and never had a problem. In short we will want to come back here (if it's not booked!)

Delightful place to stay

We had a delightful stay and we would stay here again. Rooms were clean, service was marvelous and the cafe downstairs is quaint with great food. There is a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster. Adequate for simple food, but really, just go out to eat, since the food is so good.

This was our first trip to Isla Mujeres. Before going, we had several questions and messaging with our host was prompt, informative, and friendly. The hotel had three apartments, one on each of 3 floors and we stayed on the 2nd floor. The location was fantastic. It was less than a 10 minute walk from the ferry, with quick access to the adjacent walking street that featured street vendors and many excellent restaurants. The Elektra cambio (money exchange), located on Avenida Guerrero in an electronics store, was less a 5 min walk away and, beside there, we used Ciros for renting a golf cart.

Perfect hotel close to the beach.

We stayed here last year and loved it so we chose it again this year. We found the bed a little firm the first time around so we messaged the owner and he put a foam on our bed which made it perfect. The cleaning lady is fantastic. She seemed to learn our schedule and would go in while we were out and our room was clean when we came back. Love this place and can't imagine staying anywhere else. Great restaurant on site as well.

Best hotel on the island.

Elements of the Island is perfectly located 5 minutes walk from Isla Mujeres most popular beach, from the shopping and restaurant scene and 7-8 minutes walk from the port where the ferry from Puerto Juarez drops you off. The accommodations were pristine. Immaculate bathrooms, tidy kitchen, and elegant sleeping. Ask the host for recommendations regarding what interests you (tours, restaurants, renting a golf car). He knows who has the best deals on the island and even knows a taxi driver who will drive you between the airport in Cancun to Puerto Juarez to catch the ferry at a third of the price the taxi drivers at the airport and Puerto Juarez charge. The restaurant downstairs serves an economical, fabulous breakfast! We had such a great stay that we wish we could have stayed another week. Look no further if you seek a clean, well-kept, quiet, modern hotel with outstanding customer service for a reasonable price!
