"You can tell that the property was nice at one time, but over the years it has become a little run down. In my room there were pieces of plaster falling off the wall, the shower was old and dirty, air coming through the patio door. Everything in my room was painted white, but you could tell that only half the wall had been recently painted while the other half needed to be painted. The same for the dresser that was in the room. The mini-freg looked like is was about 20 years old and definitely needed to be replaced. The staff was great. After spending 5 days in Cancun and viewing all of the other hotels available, The Cyan is probably in the worst condition of them all."
