Went for a girls trip from April 25-April 30 with two close friends. Elevators were not as slow as everyone else writes about. Lots of activities and things to do. Staff & Bartenders especially were really helpful (shoutout to Elmer & Angel from Taboo Lounge Bar). We did not do Diamond Club and felt the stay was worth it. The food was nothing to write home about, but the buffet options were solid. Overall, had a blast and made my first trip to Cancun memorable.

The ampint of pan handlers in near or around the property was too much. Really couldnt enjoy or relax by the pool withoit someone trying to sell you something. I understand its thekr job but itwas very constant and become frusturating at one point even getting woken up from a nap to see if i was interested in buying a hat

We had such a beautiful time from start to finish. The level of service provided from each staff member is unparalleled. The Royalton CHIC is TOP Notch. Located in the Hotel Zone just a 10 minute walk from the action!! All I have to say is Diamond 💎 Club…The beach, the pools, the rooms, the food options (only thing is portion size at some restaurants are small), but all above my expectations.. I can’t even begin to tell you. We had Butler Service from the AWESOME & GORGEOUS Samara. She was the best! So attentive, knowledgeable, sweet, & diligent with assisting us with reservations and recommendations. If you plan to stay in Cancun, the Royalton CHIC will NOT disappoint.

I became violently ill after dinner at the Hunter restaurant there. I had to call a Dr. to my room to the tune of $350. My vacation was ruined I’m afraid. I informed management at checkout. They said they had no other complaints, so basically, “Too BAD.” I was disappointed and probably won’t stay there again.

The water was shut off on our second day pretty much all day long until 5pm at night. We kept running into issues and the staff didn’t seem to care or take initiative. My boyfriend booked us a private romantic dinner, and due to weather it was rescheduled in one of the restaurants. However he was specifically told that it would be a private dinner away from restaurant guest. Nope they sat us right in the middle of the restaurant with no privacy whatsoever totally ruined my romantic experience and proposal. The staff was extremely undertrained and the people in Management positions should not be there specifically Johnny who was no help whatsoever. Thank you to Eduardo who finally stepped up and tried to fix the situation even though it was past that time. Staff needs to get their knowledge and training up it’s not there fault it’s the ones in charge. How does a hotel get the water shut off most of the day???? Ridiculous!

You pay a price to upgrade to diamond and then still have to pay to upgrade to premium liquor. The upgrade was not work it. The hotel needs some maintenance our floor smelled like mildew. The staff was nice and tried to accommodate us for any inconvenience.

Honestly check in was smooth and service was great . Food was ok not good to be honest . Our butler luz was great and would go beyond to make vacation perfect . Waiters and beach butlers were great beach waiter Abel made vacation great for us. Jorge was always great with us as well . One thing that made my experience unpleasant was vendors around the beach ,some would get upset if you didn’t want to purchase anything to the point they would harass you until you would finally give them your money so you can enjoy your “luxury vacation “. Personally I felt unsafe with one vendor in the resort diamond club area beach who was selling coconuts he threaten me with some type of sharp object and was sticking is middle finger at me and cursing at me . How is this considered a luxury resort when you can’t even enjoy time at the resort beach . Resort really needs to do with something with these vendors . I repeat I will never come back to this resort and recommend you to not come unless you want to feel harassed on your vacation and feel unsafe .

Pros: good view, good food, sushi was actually good, decent sized pool, there is air conditioning and a fan and the drinks are good. Staff is really nice and friendly Cons: the 300 dollar voucher isn’t a voucher it’s basically a booklet they give you with like a bunch of 20 dollar coupons on things, the elevator does take awhile since there’s only like 5 but it’s getting better Overall loved the stay the hotel was nice and close to the strip would come again

I love my butler Sandra she was the best and the sweetest she even was helping my cousins out, because they were NEVER able to find their butler. We had the best time until it was time to check out. The person who checked us out his name is David he was so rude and refused to listen to what I was saying he kept cutting me off when I was trying to tell him that my son had his own room and his spa day was going on his bill and I was only paying for mine. But he kept cutting me off and talking over me. Don’t wait on people who spent their hard earned money to stay there to check out to start being rude.

Our stay at Royalton Chic was great! Check in was at 3pm, but we were able to enjoy food and drinks while we waited. The property was beautifully kept and every team member we interacted with had the best customer service I've seen in a really long time. The food was definitely a 9 out of 10! I havent had seasoned food at any hotel we've stayed at in Cancun. The main pool was a little cold, but the vibe was nice. The rooftop pool was more warm to it felt better. Note: Diamond member or not, you will have to pay for all alcoholic beverages. So be prepared. The foam party was everything everyone has talked about. Absolutely fun! Overall our stay was great. However, the amount of money being paid to stay at the hotel should honor all inclusive at the rooftop pool area. That was the most disappointing during our stay.

To start with when i booked i opted for king bed. They gave me 2 queen. When i asked at the front desk the guy was very rude and said it is not available this the only choice i have. Another issue at this hotel is most of the staff doesn’t speak english and it is very difficult to communicate with them. Please don’t try the chopsticks restaurant. Everything we ordered was sweet. The inly restaurant which had good food was en hacienda. The drinks were not that great. They were using cheap liquor. Overall it is not a great place

The party vibe needs to improve and its music. There was way too much rap playing. There should be more of a variery of music. The Mexican restaurant was horrible. I would have thought they would have the best food.

Great resort for the value with a lot of activities in the resort. Dining options were ok, the buffet was a bit limited, expected more fresh fruits and less of the same stations throughout the buffet. The resort was clean overall, the rooms have a great ocean front view but a bit outdated for a 5 star luxury resort--our bathrobes were dirty and no slippers. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The cafe was excellent from the ladies making the coffees, the coffees, ice creams and pastries. One of the nicest resorts in the area.

We stayed at the Royalton Chic last week for a bachelorette long weekend away, and boy did we have fun!! I believe the staff at a resort can really make or break your experience, and the staff at the Royalton Chic were beyond amazing!! Big shoutout to Angel at the Munchies bar/restaurant - he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and also anything we asked for! Jonathan and Alejandro were amazing too - they were friendly, joined in on the fun and super courteous! While we did not meet a staff member that we did not like, these guys made our stay! The variety of food options available was impressive and you were never far from a snack or a drink! :) My only complaint was that our room just would not cool off and stayed pretty damp the entire time. Some of it is inevitable given the coast, but compared other places I've visited in Cancun, the room could have used some love. We did not spend a lot of time in it, so it was a very minor inconvenience! Overall a great stay for the kind of vibe and trip we were looking for. Major shout outs to the staff again for making the trip so memorable!

The property had a lot of fun events at the pool and staff was friendly. Did not like how they approached you as soon as you checked in and tried to give you some free services with the intention of selling you a membership and taking up half a day in a seminar. Being a different language it was hard to understand what their intentions were and was confusing. Also there was a odor on our floor from something not sure what it was. We also paid for the diamond club membership for better alcohol and notice that the other guest got the same as us that had the regular membership.
