Firstly, every member of staff we came across, from reception, security, cleaner or catering were extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was as you would expect, and clean and comfortable, perfect for a short stay. We would absolutely return and wholeheartedly recommend Keynes college as a base.

I liked a lot, if I ever visit canterbury, I would stay there again, however I would have liked the room to be equipped with a mini fridge, a mini microwave and afew hangers for clothes, that aside loveed it.

Good size well maintained and clean room. Very helpful reception staff. Handy kitchen close to the room to make your own food. Good cafeteria with Costa coffee. We needed to be in town before the published check in time but as the room was ready we were able to check in early, park our car and catch a bus from the campus bus stop into town.

An ideal, cost effective place to stay. The price includes breakfast ....the only blot! The poor staff were overworked, trying hard, but dispirited. Masses of food, plenty of customers, but logistics meant that all items of the cooked breakfast were stone cold and inedible. Throw in only dregs of coffee and milk on the buffet table...!!! Again, staff were trying hard....seemed a complete absence of management!

Had a really good stay at Keynes college and I think the price reflects the downsides . My room was far better than I was expecting so a good start . The shower and facilities offered in the bathroom with gel etc was a good touch . It’s 1.5 miles from central Canterbury which isn’t a problem if you’re able bodied and a bus leaves outside on the main road every 20 mins or so . The only downside was a cob web in the ceiling corner and a very average buffet breakfast which had been kept warm too long and dried out , but I considered the breakfast a bonus for the overall inclusive price . Still edible dont get me wrong but not the best . One last detail was the mattress which could have had a softer feel to it . But for the money? Worth every penny

Great find.

Fantastic little find. Friendly, quiet, clean. Cheaper than most hotels. Breakfast included was an extra surprise and bonus. If I’m in the area over night again I’m certainly checking here for availability

Comfortable and Good Value

Lovely location in the scenic grounds of Canterbury University. Room was similar in size, facilities, and comfort to a Travelodge, but with breakfast, wifi and room cleaning included, much better value. Great breakfast. A great location for a weekend trip to Canterbury.

Great location

Great location, few minutes drive from centre. Free parking and very nice breakfast. Rooms clean but bed was very uncomfortable.

Standard university accommodation as expected, room was clean and it was nice to have access to a kitchen for microwave/ oven (note there is no kitchen equipment/ crockery etc). Reception staff were very helpful in finding our room. Breakfast was nice, good continental and cooked options.

Veey good basic accommodation. Very comfortable bed and en suite bathroom. The college isn't in the centre of Canturbury; it's a good mile to walk to the centre and it's up a hill on the way back. However there's a regular bus service to/from town.

La camera è abbastanza spaziosa e luminosa; c'è la telavisione ma manca una lampada per leggere la sera. Il secondo giorno non sono state fatte le pulizie; nei giorni seguenti tutto regolare. Il bagno: scarichi funzionanti ma doccia poco pratica (senza piatto doccia - pavimentazione antiscivolo digradante verso uno scolo-, soffione fisso e tenda di plastica). Colazione abbondante, sia salata (salsiccia, uova, pancetta etc...) che dolce (grande varietà di cereali, pane tostasto etc...)

Poor standard of amenities- tiny shower, and everything got soaked during shower, toilet was stained and old. Walls falling apart and gaps in grouting and moulding. No ventilation in bathroom and poor ventilation in the room. Windows need opening but located on ground floor so could not open at night. No bedside lamp and room was dark. Bed was great but a little damp. Slept very well as it was quiet and comfortable

Worst bed I’ve ever slept on. Mattress is completely worn out. The pillows and duvet smell of damp. There in mold on the shower room. The walls are paper thin and you can hear through them.

Good

Cheapest accommodation in the area. Good price for own bathroom and breakfast included. The room was clean, but the the room and whole building had an unpleasant smell, and windows only open about 10cm, so couldn’t really air it out. Also the amenities weren’t the best with no soap or shower gel, which I didn’t bring and was hoping to be included. Not a major problem but would have been nice to know beforehand. I stayed for 2 nights, and housekeeping came to clean my room on the second day.

Shocking service.

Shocking service. I arrived at 8.15 after trying to work out exactly where on earth I was supposed to go. At 8pm the reception apparently closes according to a chap I asked in the car park. After finally getting to reception (another person also waiting) we were directed to phone security to get the room key. 15 minutes later we had a key and directions to our block. Another 20 minutes later we still couldn’t find our block (at night the campus is extremely dark). Why the security guy could not have just shown us I’m not sure. So I then went to the bar and paid £10 to any student that could get me to my room. Unfortunately they were ‘freshers’ so it took another 15 minutes for them to assist. Room was fine. Service terrible.
