"When checking in, the staff were very attentive and welcoming, which made a positive first impression. However, after arriving in my room, I carried out a routine check and found multiple small hairs and some stains on the bed sheets. I returned to reception to request a room change. At this point, I was assisted by a different member of staff who informed me I could not be moved and would need to wait for the room to be cleaned, despite it having already been prepared. "The location is wonderful if your goal is to walk around little Italy. It is close to the zoo which is less than 2 miles away. The hotel itself is old and our room showed it. Although it was clean there were lots of problems. The outlet in the bathroom was so loose it didn’t work. The patio door to the balcony didn’t shut all the way so traffic was very loud. Overall it was comfortable for the price but definitely needs some renovations "

"The hotel is trendy and had a fun vibe. While on the small side, I liked the look of the room. I’ve stayed at a Moxy in Arizona and remember the amenities being better. There was no fridge / coffee maker in the room, and the sign stating “Ice / water” was incorrect on my floor only, so I wandered aimlessly looking for ice before giving up. The staff were all friendly, but based on the amenities I likely won’t stay here again."

"Very convenient place and friendly staff, affordable price and relatively clean room. But that was all. No sun light inside the room, very dark even at daytime. You wouldn’t recognize if it was night or day because it was too dark. Very loud party at Saturday night. Very nice roof top for free instead. I could barely stand because it was a business trip. It would have destroyed the trip and left bad impression on San Diego if it was private. Probably I would not stay here again."

"Great location. Easy to walk to the convention center and very close to a bunch of great restaurants in Little Italy. The breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful with any questions and were very nice and super friendly. The entire place was clean and had a good vibe overall. I would stay here again and I highly recommend it to anyone!"

"Overall great stay, loved the location most as it was fairly close to everything we wanted to do. Someone came to clean our room everyday. Very convenient there was a bar & diner there we didn’t eat there though so idk how the food is. Other amenities were ok. The gym was sad if that matters to you. One thing I was not a fan of was that there was no full body mirror in our room."
