"Definitely not a four star property. The pros were the breakfast was fantastic, and the rooms have ac which is a must for a Roman summer. The location is also quite close to the airport. The cons unfortunately outweigh since the hotel is very tired and dated. There is a mold and mildew smell in the rooms, only one USB A socket, bathroom tub had stains, the bathroom mirror was chipped, the chain lock in the room was broken, the bed was uncomfortable. Won't stay here again."

"Super helpful staff on reception. We arrived early following the close of our cruise at 9.15am and managed to source our three rooms early, provided us with a complimentary coffee and croissant and also showed some playful humour.

"The staff! Amazing! Very helpful and kind! Viviana is my favourite bartender. Shuttle service is good and very convenient. Breakfast is delicious and well worth the price! Dinners were delicious and Manager Fabio is incredible. The outdoor AND indoor pool areas are beautiful. It’s my second stay there and going back in a couple of weeks after a cruise for a 3rd. It’s my home away from home. A 5 star experience for 4 star cost."

"It was 38’C when we were in Rome. The AC in these rooms is beautiful. Had the room at 17’C and it was heavenly. The rooms are extremely tiny. Just a bed and bathroom.
Also the cafe attached serves an American breakfast if you are staying at the hotel.
Would stay again if it was going to be hot. If it was cooler, nothing in particular would bring me back here."

"We loved our stay at the Hotel San Francesco. The entire staff was incredibly gracious and helpful. Liz at reception gave us great recommendations, we enjoyed chatting with her. Smiley truly lives up to her name, lovely and helpful.
We enjoyed apperitivos at the rooftop lounge and were never disappointed with the food, drinks and service. We appreciated that they offer breakfast since most of our party prefers having a nutritious full breakfast before getting those 10k steps a day.
