"The food in the restaurant was very good-nicely cooked. The room upgrade was very good too, with views over Bute Park. What was not so good was having to shower in the bath-no walk-in shower..very tricky for an 80 year old like myself..we had tried for a disabled room, but none were available for both the nights we were there. I think one should be warned about this-outdated and unexpected."

"Superb staff, a wonderful welcome. Room was spacious and bed super comfy. A historic building so decor and some of the fixtures in need of updating, but tbh that’s what gives The Angel its charm. I’d definitely stay again and highly recommend."

"I spoke to the hotel on the phone, during the day I was going to check in, as I had not received the check in codes to enter the hotel. There is no one at reception after 5pm. They promised to send it to me. They only sent the link to pay for parking and NOT the entry codes. I tried to call during my 3 hour journey to Cardiff, but could not get hold of anyone. No ansver on the emergency line. I had informed them that I would arrive at 23:00 as they had requested, and I confirmed that they had...

"We appreciated the last minute booking with assistance from Expedia.. Last room available was ADA and not quite what we usually expect but we were grateful for a clean quiet room and a comfortable bed in large rooms. Breakfast was fantastic and our waitress was wonderful!"

"The room was clean. The air conditioner didn’t work, and being on the 10th floor, it would get a bit warm during the day. The windows didn’t open, so no fresh air. As I was leaving to checkout, the door handle came off. The doors had smart locks and you had to help the door close in order for the lock to engage."

"Check in was easy and the reception staff said let them know if I needed anything. I wanted green teabags and asked for them over 2 days about 4 times.
