"The room was freezing, there was no phone in the room to contact reception and the night receptionist did not know a word of English. The only restaurant in the hotel, which was also the only restaurant in that area, started serving at 8:00 p.m. and served only two soups and three rustic dishes, none of which could be eaten. It didn't even have a menu to choose from, and it was immediately filled with drunken men. It was like a nightmare for a family with children."

"What a wonderful stay! This is a very unique opportunity to stay in an active Monastery. The grounds are buildings are beautiful and well preserved. The room was simple, but spacious and very comfortable. The Friars are warm and welcoming; they welcome participation in prayers and services, though there is no expectation to do so. "This was a great place to stay. Great location, nice staff, lovely room and amenities. If I have one criticism it would be the use of paper cups in the bathroom. And only two at that! Seems out of sync with the price we paid for the stay - it was the most expensive of the five hotels we stayed at during our seven-day road trip in this part of Spain."
