"When we arrived in our room it had a bad odor. While I do know this room was only $70 I did not expect there to be this many problems. The blinds did not wrap around the window so people in the parking lot could see you. The sheets were torn and we had to get new ones. The over head sprinkler was leaking and they had paper towel shoved in there to absorb the water. The shower head was leaking. And the shower curtain wasnt long enough so all the water was going out of the shower flooding the...

"The staff was real helpful. The phone wasn't working in our room. Someone came and fixed it right away. If you are a coffee drinker, beware there is only a small one cup pot in the room. No problem with parking, there was plenty. The food was ok, we ate there a couple of days, but then we started going across the road from us from to the waffle house. We would stay there again, if in the area."

"I had a very enjoyable stay at Sleepy Bear last week. I was there for a week long motorcycle tour of the area. I was able to park my bike outside my ground floor room. The room was spacious and clean. HVAC worked fine and the beds are comfortable. Large, newer, flat screen tv was nice. After a long day of riding I was able to sit on the back porch of the room and relax to a gentle rolling stream right behind the motel. "We had an excellent stay! Everything was so close and we were able to walk everywhere and did not run out of things to do for the two days we were there. If I had any suggestion at all…. Clearer instructions about parking! It was fine once we figured it out but there were a few worried moments to get to the answer. Would stay there again!"

"Clearly has been completely refurbished recently. Was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Cannot comment on the pool as we did not use it. Balcony had a nice view of the river. Fireplace was nice touch. Shower was nice. They only provide shampoo and bar soap, no conditioner. The only negative we found was that there are no black out blinds on the balcony door, so the morning light woke us up. Would definitely recommend this hotel."
